Our ministries for children and their families offer an active and dynamic time from ages birth through 5th grade. Children’s Ministries are staffed by well-trained volunteer teachers who bring engaging, creative energy to their classrooms. Children and their families from our church and community are invited to participate in any of our children’s ministry programs.

We believe it is our mission to provide opportunities of Christian growth for children and their families by nurturing
their personal relationship with Jesus Christ through education, service to others, and fellowship.

Keep an eye out for programs designed for all ages such as fellowship events, movie nights, Vacation Bible School, Parent’s Night Out, egg hunts and much more throughout the year. Our children’s programming is integrated into all other arms of our ministries in order to gather as a church family.
We are excited you are here and look forward to getting to know you better. As we consider ministry to children and their families to be an essential part of our overall mission, should you have any questions about Christian Education programs or ways to get involved in the life of the church please reach out to Britany any time at britany@firstprez.com.
Children & Worship
Children of all ages are welcome in worship! We embrace the wonder and energy that children bring to a worship service. We encourage families with young children to sit in the front rows so children can see, hear and experience worship up close. Worship bags with activity sheets and manipulatives are available to help make a child’s worship experience more meaningful. Just before the sermon, children gather near the front for a special moment with the pastor to explore the morning’s scripture.
Children’s Church – 11 am
  • Immediately following the Time for Children in the 11 am service, elementary-aged children and under are taken to the Nursery Wing by an adult volunteer for learning and fun.
    Children’s Church is offered Mid-August-June.
Nursery Vision
We believe that we have the opportunity to nurture and cultivate the seeds of God’s love in each child.  We seek to provide a loving, safe, Christian atmosphere for the youngest members of God’s family.   We provide a learning environment where children can begin a lifelong walk with God through hands-on activities, Bible stories, creative play, and sensory learning.   We strive to be an example of God’s love for all children in our care.
Childcare for infants through PreK 4 is available every Sunday morning from 8:45am – 12:15pm. Throughout the morning Bible lessons for these children come from an innovative curriculum, which focuses on helping the children discover and grow in their faith through the use of creative, interactive and age-specific experiences to encourage children to live with faith in God.
Please know that children are always welcome in the worship service at any time.
Upon arrival to the nursery wing, you will be asked to check in, label any personal belongings, and make sure there is an Emergency Information card on file. Our nursery is staffed by paid, experienced, and loving caregivers.
Childcare is also offered for special worship services and key events outside of Sunday morning.
Sunday Evening: Kingdom Kidz

What Does the Bible Say About Heroes? Heroic people in the Bible are celebrated for their courage, faith, selflessness, compassion, and obedience to God.  This semester, the Kingdom Kidz will have fun with games, Lego, skits, crafts, videos, and more – while learning what the Bible teaches us about being a Christian hero. The lessons are taught to the two groups in age appropriate ways.

“Jesus tells us to become like a child in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Children come to us with a sense of wonder that is a necessary component of faith.
It is our job as parents and teachers to nurture that wonder while adding to it an understanding of who God is, and how much God loves them.”
