What We Believe

Our Mission at First Presbyterian Church is to serve Jesus Christ and share his Gospel through meaningful worship, loving fellowship, spiritual growth, and compassionate outreach within our community and throughout the world.

We will be an open and vibrant vessel of Christ grounded in God’s love, equipping and providing opportunities for our congregation to serve and share God in our community and the world.

First Presbyterian Church is a Christ-centered congregation, grounded in the historic Reformed Protestant tradition, and open to engaging the current issues of our times through the rich resources of the Christian faith.  We affirm the global nature of the kingdom of God and are a mission driven congregation both locally and internationally.  Doctrinally we affirm the summaries of the Christian faith as found in the Nicene and Apostles’ Creeds as well as other confessions in the Reformed tradition. Denominationally, we are affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA).
